The American Tapestry Alliance’s “Untitled/Unjuried: Small Format Tapestry 2014”

Curated by Jan Austin the exhibit features tapestries no larger than 10 x 10 inches with more than 241 works from 13 countries, 6 continents, 33 states presented by the American Tapestry Alliance.  The subject matter includes abstraction, landscape, portrait, still life, humor, political and social commentary.

TWiNE 2014 (Tapestry Weavers in New England)

This juried exhibit includes the work of 18 New England Fiber Artist members of TWiNE in a variety of styles and sizes, juried by Barbara Herbster, a well-known professional artist, weaver and teacher.  Artists include: Louise Abbott, Priscilla Alden, Jan Austin, Barbara Burns, Don Burns,  Nancy Corkery, Bonnie Eadie, Katie Hickey, Susan Matthew, Julia Mitchell, Brenda Osborn, Suzanne Pretty, Tamar Shadur, Micala Sidore, Kathy Spoering,  Elizabeth Trocki,  Sarah Warren and  Betsy Wing.

“Weaving Providence Together”

curated by Jan Doyle, David Lima and Richard Muto; features demonstrations of weaving, spinning, and fiber preparation.  Selected fiber works by the weavers, spinners, and dyers of the Octagon House.
